Last night I had a delicious meal at my friend's restaurant she advised me to try the lamb steak so I followed her advice. The lamb steak was delicious and so were the fries.

Today I did the shopping again in Iloilo city always very cozy but tiring because of the crowds you just lost half a day no problem if you like me already enjoy my early retirement. I also went to S&R for a while, which is a wholesaler and you have to have a membership to go inside and it costs 400 pesos a year to my great surprise, they were already in the Christmas mood that starts on September 1st because then the R is in the month

As usual, it was time for a nice drink with the workers again on Friday afternoon.

After a week of hard work, there was time for the more usual drinks just before the weekend with the workers for a drink and food together which they really appreciate because it is not common here in the Philippines so I still brought a piece of culture to the Philippines.

Today I had some time to relax in my bamboo house with some friends after all the hustle and bustle and drink and talked about the Philippines and the Netherlands.

Last Saturday evening we celebrated the birthday of my best friend and also personal assistant we had a delicious meal, drank and sang a lot outside on the balcony of the bamboo house.

After the many work and consultations with my architect and workers about the work in my garden, it was a moment to relax in my kubo while enjoying a delicious cold Red Horse and tasty salty peanuts, I got an unexpected visit from my neighbor the TUKO they call the animal here, it's a land lizard that you find everywhere here, so only good we had a great time together.

Het huis is helemaal klaar en de mensen zijn nu in mijn tuin bezig. For me the time to sort out my new furniture and I did that at Mandaue foam here in Iloilo City, a very well-known business with branches spread across the Philippines and is similar to Ikea in the Netherlands. I looked around for a few hours and was neatly helped by a nice lady who walked around with me all the time. I was very lucky that there was a big discount promotion going on with a discount of up to 40% throughout the month of August. I indicated the final price in red to show that it is really cheap here. So I bought everything there and everything is delivered and assembled in my house on September 5th.

Today they started building my garden. A floor is being poured on it, which I have already figured out. A start has been made for the canopy of the welding work and empty pipes have been installed for my irrigation system. Unfortunately, I had to have a number of trees removed so that the canopy can be placed in the correct position.

It is Friday 5 o'clock in the afternoon that means that in the Netherlands the weekend starts for many people in the Philippines they make another day extra the Saturday but I thought that these hard-working men had deserved a beer proost and in the Filipino way tagay thanks Paul, Alfred, Tata, Renante, Ronmar and Renzo 👍

Today was the completion of my renovated house it is quite a change and it has become really beautiful. Of course we had to celebrate this with the people who worked really hard, I really have all the respect for the people. So I invited them to the KAERAH resto bar for a nice drink and sing together.

The house is completely ready except for a few small points that are completed at the handover and final inspection by me personally today all the devices were brought neatly, it was a whole truck full I can start decorating. I would like to thank all the employees once again for all the work they have done.
